	Jim Smith won the only race run in Outlaw Flat Four with a 10.686/128.80 in the hot Beetle.		Frank Bennett won burnout of the round and the extra points in the first round of NFAA.
	Ann and Zane Llewellyn were here and managed to take a few minutes out from acting like newly weds to help out the Bristol racers!		Ian Atkinson came up against John Atkinson, who was hit with a controversial red light.
	Chris Johnson ran an 8.963 in round one of Super Comp but came up short against the 8.942 of Tim Adam.		Neil Ellis qualified no. 1 in VW Pro and had a bye into the final in a thin field.
	Charlie Chivers came up against the identically bodied Capri of Paul Baynton in round 1 of Pro ET and came out the victor.		The scoreboard tells the story as Tim Blakemore becomes the first UK Funny Bike rider to crack 200mph.
	Ian Huggan was top of five cars entered in VW Alternate Engine, his Subaru-motored car still using a VW gearbox.		Annalieze Gibb ran a 13.018 on a 13.01 dial-in to defeat Tom Watts in round one.
	Wendy Clutterbuck showed great confidence in handling the Supertwin Fuel bike, going quicker on every run and breaking into the 8's for the first time.		Joe Bond had a wild ride in his NFAA altered, crossing the centre line at 100ft in front of a tyre-smoking Bob Glassup.
	Phil Leamon qualified third and met Roland Chaplain in a close race in Comp Bike, Roland's 8.565 shutting down Phil's losing 8.659.		Matt Gatland was defeated by his friend Tim Adam in the first round of Super Gas which gave Tim the track championship.
	Dave Bailey ran consistent mid-sevens and had a hole-shot victory over Richard Gipp in the first round of Funny Bike.		Geoff Cowley is the 2006 APIRA Champion in Sportsman ET.
	Ron Haslett's Street Eliminator Cortina ran his first nine-second pass yesterday and without the intervention of the rain could have been on a bye into the final.		Ian Turburville ran a new personal best of 7.781/179.45 and was runner-up to Steve Carey in the race and the APIRA Championship
	Chris Bray was no.1 qualifier in a substitute car in VW Sportsman. .		Nick Moore had a single into the second round of Super Street bike when Ivan Birch couldn't make the call.
	Craig Owen was driving the Flavell Welding dragster for the second meeting and again acquitted himself excellently .		Dave Burfitt ran a 9.570 which was the best number in round one of 9.50 bike.
	Chris Stebbings was running the V-Rod Harley in Supertwin Gas this weekend, the bike running in the nines essentially in stock trim.		Cliff Griffin burns out in the first round of Outlaw Anglia eliminations. He lost a close one to Simon Barlow.
	Helen Smythe shut down Chris Hartnell in the first round of Wild Bunch which we think is enough to secure her the track championship.		Dave Beck was the last man standing in Pro Stock Bike, taking the event win on his rental bike.
	Bob Lees gets the wheels up on the launch of the Super Street 'Stang.		Super Pro Racer Ian Tubb burns out as another bank of cloud builds up behind the startline.
	Some members of the Wild Bunch nearly managed a new para-gliding record this morning.		Despite the best efforts of everyone concerned, eventually the weather won this one.
