Fay UK's quickest lady
Fay Fischer achieved a long-standing ambition at the New Summernationals on Sunday when she broke Roz Prior's long-standing record as the quickest lady in UK drag racing. Fay ran a storming 6.33 at 214.28 in the Redstone and Gleadow Racing TAD, breaking Roz' 6.42 record which was set in Top Fuel in the late 1970s. An air-shift problem spoilt what looked like a faster run in the afternoon, but Fay will get the chance to take the record even lower at Hockenheim in a couple of weekends' time. More details on Fay's web site.
